Hardly anyone here has any idea what Thanksgiving is. When I do mention it to someone they are curious what we are actually celebrating, who we are giving thanks to, and what for.
It's a little bit complicated to explain because, as Americans, we have strayed so far from the real meaning of Thanksgiving. It used to be a holiday to thank the Lord for all that He had done and is doing. But, nowadays, it is more of an American holiday, and Americans are all sorts of religions.
So... how would you explain Thanksgiving? And, what are you thankful for?
