what's going on here
do you ever feel like perhaps the lord was confused when he called you. that the deep burning passion that he zapped into your heart was really an arrow headed for someone else. you just happened to step in front of it at just the wrong time? i am sitting here wondering what in the world he saw in me that would be useful here. i have no skills or abilities that are worth a darn here. maybe its just the willingness to be here. in all reality, he is god... this is his job. so i get to be used by him, and that is cool- although overwhelming! i have nothing to offer this place, yet he has everything, and he is willing to allow me to be a part of his big plan. i am glad he is soverign and just and in control of this world. use me, lord, for your good and perfect plan!

My sweet Elizabeth Don't think for a minute you don't have awesome skills and abilities yours are abundant! I am sure it will be very clear why you are there He has a plan for you just be patient.

You are in the hand of the Almighty. It is His hand that makes all things valuable. Being a wife and mother must feel overwhelming in an unfamiliar culture. Keep your priorities - it's the Holy Spirit in you that is the light and the magnet that others will see. You don't have to do anything else. It's like I tell my kids - "do the things you know, then you'll know the things to do." You're exactly where you're supposed to be, doing exactly what you're supposed to do.

This post isn't fooling anyone...especially me. I am fully aware of all your many talents and skills. You've got flag football skills, mad co-ed softball skills, the incredible ability to lure random dogs into college dorms, a skill for finding nasty cats with nubs for tails. Not to mention your talent for messing with my different roommates. That's just a few of the many. If you had any idea how many Granny in the pocket, Edgar, Kim-Shu, and myself were thinking and talking about the other day, you'd be amazed.
